Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Ahmed Omran Ibrahim Hamdallah, an individual seller based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, operating the Worqin Service. We act as the data controller for personal data we collect about you in connection with the Service.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google account ID if you sign in with Google).
• Profile and CV content: information you enter into your CVs, cover letters, and profile (work history, education, skills, languages).
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, quotas consumed (e.g. PDF downloads, AI translations).
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, timestamps, and error logs.
• Support communications: messages you send us.
• Payment-related identifiers: subscription status, customer ID, and transaction references returned to us by Paddle. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

3. Why we use your data and the legal basis

• Provide the Service (account creation, CV editing, exports, AI features) — performance of our contract with you.
• Process payments and subscriptions via our reseller Paddle — performance of our contract with you and legal obligation.
• Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests in protecting the Service and users.
• Service improvement and analytics — legitimate interests in understanding usage and improving features.
• Customer support — performance of our contract.
• Legal compliance — where required by applicable law.
• Marketing (only where you have opted in) — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share your data with

• Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, for sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, fraud prevention, and invoicing. See Paddle’s Buyer Terms and privacy policy at paddle.com/legal.
• Service providers and subprocessors who help us run the Service: hosting (Cloudflare), database and authentication (Supabase), email delivery, analytics, and AI providers (Anthropic) used to power features such as translation and cover-letter generation.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside Saudi Arabia, including in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can delete your account at any time from the Account > Danger Zone screen.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. EEA and UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email hello@worqin.app. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as language). We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be notified through the Service.
